It has excellent adhesion and non-sag property specially designed to correct rough and uneven concrete surfaces to produce a good base for paint application.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS

SKIMPLAST offers the following advantages:

  • Can be applied very thinly up to 1mm without cracking or flaking saving bigger cost on plastering works.
  • Smooth surface can be achieved thru manual sanding to save on paint consumption.
  • A non toxic material resistant to ultraviolet rays and to wind-driven rain.

  • Correction of uneven concrete surfaces such as: interior and exterior walls and ceilings, formed concrete walls and pre-cast panels.
  • Patching and repair of cracks, pinholes and dent gaps.
  • Serves as filler to honeycomb of concrete slab, ceiling, columns and beams.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces must be structurally sound and thoroughly clean. Remove loose materials, dust, dirt, oil, laitance and other contaminants. All surfaces must be damped down with clean water just prior to application of SKIMPLAST.

MIXING AND APPLICATION

Mix 1 part of SKIMPLAST to 0.3 part of clean water by volume in a suitable plastic container until a lump free consistency is attained. For best result, let the mixture stand for 10-15 minutes and stir again. Refrain from adding more water even if the mixture is already beginning to set, any changes from the recommended mixing ratio will affect the properties of the product. Using a steel trowel or putty knife, apply SKIMPLAST evenly to the desired thickness. Additional coats can be applied as needed. Allow an undercoating interval of at least 20 minutes. Sanding may be necessary to obtain a higher degree of smoothness. Allow plastered wall to cure for at least 3-5 days. Wash surface with wet sponge and let dry before applying paint as final coat.
